Terms and Conditions for NutriRoots
Last updated: 1st Feb 2026
Welcome to NutriRoots. By opening an account or placing an order with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms govern the professional relationship between NutriRoots and our wholesale partners.
1. About Us
NutriRoots provides premium living microgreens and salad mixes grown in pathogen-free coco coir. We operate as a wholesale-only provider serving hotels, pubs, restaurants, and wedding caterers across Dorset and Hampshire.
2. Account-Based Ordering
- Wholesale Only: We do not offer retail sales. All orders are conducted on an account basis.
- Grown to Order: To ensure peak freshness and zero waste, all produce is grown specifically for your account.
- Lead Time: An initial lead time of 10–14 days is required for all new orders. It is also required for significant volume changes. This allows for the natural growth cycle.
3. Delivery & The Tray Exchange System
- Area: Delivery is available throughout Dorset and Hampshire.
- Schedule: We offer flexible delivery days based on your business requirements, coordinated at the time of account setup.
- Circular System: We operate a tray exchange. Upon delivery of fresh living trays, NutriRoots will collect the used trays and coco coir from the previous delivery.
- Equipment Care: Trays remain the property of NutriRoots. Partners are expected to keep trays in good condition until collection. Missing or intentionally damaged trays may incur a replacement fee.
4. Quality & Perishability
- Living Product: Our microgreens are delivered alive and rooted. To maintain the “perfect stage” for harvest, the customer is responsible for basic maintenance.
- Maintenance Requirement: Trays must be bottom-watered every 2–3 days. NutriRoots is not liable if a crop wilts or is lost. This can occur due to a failure to provide basic hydration or improper top-watering.
- Claims: Any issues concerning the health of the plants upon arrival must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
5. Payments & Invoicing
- Invoicing: All orders are billed via invoice to your professional account.
- Payment Terms: Payment terms are as agreed upon during account setup.
- Non-Payment: We reserve the right to pause growth cycles and suspend deliveries for accounts with overdue invoices.
6. Cancellations
- Your crop is grown specifically for you. Therefore, you must cancel at least 10 days prior to the scheduled delivery date. If you cancel after the seeds have been sown, you will be charged for the full value of the crop.
7. Allergies & Safety
- Medium: Our microgreens are grown in pathogen-free coco coir, not traditional soil.
- Responsibility: The customer (the chef/caterer) must make sure the microgreens are handled safely. They should be served according to their own food safety protocols once harvested from the tray.
8. Liability
- NutriRoots’ liability is limited to the invoice price of the specific products provided. We are not liable for any consequential loss, such as loss of business or event disruption.
9. Changes to Terms
- We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions. Partners will be notified of any significant changes that affect their account.
